When anglers and swimmers start going missing on the Thames, Charlie Carter and his two school friends Jazz and Sam decide to investigate and go on an epic monster hunt. But when they discover the mangled remains of a dead whale with huge bite marks, they realise they’ve bitten off more than they can chew. The monster pike is 30-feet long with four-inch teeth, and it can sink a speedboat by ramming it at thirty miles per hour.
A local newspaper gets to hear of the monster pike and puts up £1M in prize money for anyone who can catch it.
This results in a massive speedboat chase along the Thames with Secret Agents from the mysterious Fizz, a South-African game hunter and the bumbling River Police all getting involved… and blowing everything up but the monster pike along the way.
Where has this nightmare creature come from, and will Charlie and his friends be able to save the day? And how on earth do you catch a monster fish in the busy River Thames, which is a great hiding place for all sorts of monsters - even human ones?
